Maarten started his career at KPMG and worked 13 years as an Auditor and Financial Project Manager for several companies. Afterwards, he became Managing Director for two small Dutch subsidiaries of the German Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG for 7 years. Alongside, he started up his own Recruitment and Executive Search firm in 2005, servicing a large range of clients in The Netherlands and Belgium.
As a Partner with Friisberg & Partners International, Maarten is responsible for the recruitment into executive, management and specialist positions for large, multinational clients as well as local Dutch companies. Maarten has a special interest in family owned businesses and is well established in sectors such as manufacturing, packaging, food, logistics, retail, financial services and professional services.
In addition to his professional activities, Maarten is an active member of the board of various charities and business clubs.
