From 1975 to 1994, Giovanni Mantica was in AC Nielsen, first as Sales Director, then as CEO and Director of the South and Center Europe. He was Vice President Marketing for Alitalia from 1994 to 1997.
From 1997 to 2010 he was Senior Partner in Heidrick & Struggles, where he was responsible for European Consumer Practice.
From 2010 to 2014 he was Senior Client Partner in Korn/Ferry International and was a member of the Firm’s Global Consumer Market Practice.
He has been active in Executive Search since 1997. He has a extensive experience in recruiting CEOs, COOs, Marketing Directors and other Senior-level Executives for renowned consumer brands in the fast moving consumer goods and retail.
Giovanni joined Signium Italy in 2014 as General Manager in the Milan office. Today he is Member of the Board of The Story Group. In 2014 he also joined Governance Consulting as an independent Member of the Board and from 2017 to 2022 he was General Manager reaching important results doubling the sales turnover and exponentially incrementing the EBITDA.
Giovanni holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Pavia. He is fluent in Italian and English.
