Role
Contribute to the vision, design and implementation of the strategy for the business in Bulgaria (and other CEE markets later) developing the services’ portfolio, operational capabilities & business plans
Develop, design and establish structures, systems and processes to most effectively achieve the organization’s objectives
Forge long term relationships with key potential clients, business partners, key opinion leaders, authorities and other relevant stakeholders
Identify and grasp new business opportunities
Responsible for meeting the financial targets (full P&L responsibility) and drive the Company’s business growth
Provide overall leadership manage the local team and ensure its competence, motivation and engagement
Ensure all operations are compliant with the respective regulations and Code of Ethics
Design and implement company policies and procedures and act as a role model to all employees
Ensure that company’s excellent image is maintained and improved
Fundraising & Investor relations:
• Lead fundraising from existing and new investors
• Manage investor relations including reporting
New business development:
• Originate new business for acquisition of NPLs and distressed properties via banks, other financial institutions (e.g. pension funds), lawyers, brokers, advisors, etc
• Originate new senior /mezzanine debt financing to businesses with real estate element (collateral)
• Underwrite new deals in cooperation with the Operations Director and the investors
Finance, Reporting, Payments & IT Systems:
• Lead annual budgeting and regular comparison to actual performance for the board
• Overall responsibility for local reporting e.g. BNB for licensed investment vehicles, tax returns, financial statements
Candidate
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or similar, preferably from a leading local or international university
MBA or Master’s in Finance, BA, Economics would be an advantage
Proficiency in English
Experience as a senior manager in a leading financial institution or real estate business or senior private equity professional at a regional PE or property fund manager
Experienced in financial/banking property related products/projects
Strong knowledge of the real estate industry would be an advantage
Management experience in building and leading teams within organizations is a must
Entrepreneurial spirit to originate attractive new business
Ability and track ,record to execute successful entries and exits
Strong in new relationship building
Proactive
Strong negotiating skills
Accurate, punctual, with high level of personal integrity
Ability to manage flexible working time and working under challenging situations
Good relationships with local and regional financial institutions and international institutional investors is a strong plus
