On behalf of our client, Stockday Romania, we are looking for Logistics Capabilities Manager in Bucharest.

You will lead the logistics field team responsible for 3PL management for Romania and be responsible for delivering the best service to our customers.

Key Activities & Accountabilities

  • Develop and implement the appropriate 3PL management segmentation with the view of constantly developing win-win partnerships with our logistics service providers
  • Provide the team with clarity on expectations and how functional objectives, and activities contribute to overall company strategy
  • Direct work activities, projects and teams based on a clear understanding of customer and market needs
  • Constantly look-up for innovative and provocative new ways of improving processes and procedures, while supporting standardization throughout internal and Business Owners expectations
  • Build, maintain & improve relationships and collaborates with colleagues across functions (Commercial, Customer Care, Finance, Legal etc.) and Business Owners (Coca-Cola HBC & Heineken Romania)
  • Lead tenders for logistics services by creating and updating demand specifications per region, organize offers and negotiate contractual terms, finalizing with proposing the fitted 3PL in accordance with specific criteria
  • Proactively respond to internal/external audit logistics demands in due time in parallel with ensuring that all Compliance and other policies and regulations are implemented, applied and followed
  • Manage the field logistics team ensuring that the best talent is sourced, developed and engaged leading to a highly motivated and positive team environment that meets and exceeds business expectations

Skills & Experience

  • 5-10 years’ experience in field logistics operations with a preference in FMCG Warehouse and Door to Door Distribution specifics
  • University degree preferably from engineering degree (Master’s degree is an asset)
  • Professional Expertise
  • Result & action oriented with a positive and agile attitude
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills
  • High sense of responsibility and empowerment
  • Project Management and/or Finance qualifications are of advantage
  • Process Lean/Excellence/Six Sigma tools, training and/or certification experience of advantage
  • Excellent analytical thinking & problem-solving capabilities
  • Well accustomed with Microsoft Office tools
  • Availability to national travel for more than 60% of the time
  • Fluency in English & Romanian
  • Experience in international environment desirable
